[Q] When I attach the Infinity USB Smart, the COM-port gets a higher number than my 3rd party software supports. How do I change the COMx number?
[A] Open the Windows Device Manager (Right click My Computer->Properties->Hardware->Device Manger, (On XP) Similar on other Windows versions).
Find the 'Ports (COM & LPT)' and expand this level. Find your 'USB serial port (ComX)'. Right click->Properties->Port Settings->Advanced and then change the Com port number to 3 (or whatever low number may be available). Make sure the port is not already in use. Click OK to save. |

[Q] How do I connect more than one Infinity USB Smart to a Dreambox or Set-top Box (STB) with just one USB port?
[A] Use a USB hub to connector more than one Infinity USB Smart to the host. Up to 4 units can be connected with a buspowered USB hub (no external DC adaptor), while a DC adaptor is needed for a USB hub with more than 4 USB ports (selfpowered).
Up to 127 units can be connected to one system by cascading USB hubs. |

[Q] I have a class AB (3V) card, do I need a special cardreader?
[A] Infinity USB Smart supports class A (5V), class AB (5V + 3V) and class ABC (5V + 3V + 1.8V) so you can use the Infinity USB Smart with class AB (3V) cards. |
